Zika virus
According to the World Health Organisation, the Zika-linked condition is now a threat of "alarming proportions”. The infection has been linked to cases of microcephaly, in which babies are born with underdeveloped brains.

- Wisdom for government and health agencies.
- Our partner churches and projects in Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras and Mexico. Our field staff are taking action, distributing educational resources to mothers and communities about the risks of Zika and how to avoid the virus. They are also giving mothers in our Child Survival Programme insect repellent and mosquito nets.
