Food insecurity and flooding in Kenya

  • The Kenyan government has issued an alert for El-Nino rains. The heavy rains are expected to result in landslides, mudslides and flooding. Please pray for protection for the country as a whole, our church partners, and the children and their families. 
  • Please pray for the issue of food insecurity in Makueni County. People are struggling to access food after a period of insufficient rainfall. The area regularly suffers from food insecurity which exacerbates the challenges the region faces with high crime rates and disease. 
  • Pray for the Kikumini community in Makueni County as they are in need of water for domestic use and farming. The area has a short rainy season that doesn't sustain enough produce to feed the people.
