Front End Web Developer

We are looking to recruit an experienced (min 2 years) Front End Web Developer with recent experience on public-facing websites and proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.

This role would suit an individual with a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Technology Management or equivalent. You’ll need strong WordPress experience, ASP.NET, C#, HTML 5 and the ability to develop web solutions (including mobile) plus CS Suite and other design tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, etc.).

You’ll need to be creative, innovative and flexible, able to work to a high standard, add value and recognise the benefit of collective effort and mutual cooperation. The role also calls for a personal alignment with the values of Compassion UK and a deep sense of personal connection to Compassion’s ministry to children in poverty and an eager desire to play a part in accomplishing its mission.

The purpose of this role is to provide an in-house function to manage and develop the front-end of Compassion UK’s website and support other digital activity, to meet the digital marketing strategy and agreed organisational priorities.

Key Outcomes

  • Respect, uphold and work within CUK’s Christian Ethos and Values,
  • Deliver best-in-class front-end code across a broad array of interactive web and mobile projects;
  • Lead in all aspects of digital design for Compassion UK;
  • Provide timely resolution to reported problems with CUK’s existing website and App;
  • Champion User Experience Design across all departments within the organisation.

 The successful candidate must be able to agree to respect, uphold and commit to work within Compassion UK’s Christian faith based ethos, faith statement and values.

This is a permanent office-based post working 35 hours per week Monday – Friday 9.00- 17.00.
