Flooding in southern Togo

Several days of heavy rains has caused flooding in the southern part of Togo late last week, destroying the homes of 27 Compassion sponsored children.

Staff from our church partners visited the affected children and their families to provide essential relief, such as food and clothing through the RESPOND disaster funds. Compassion Field staff plan to visit families by the end of this week. They also plan to request support from the RESPOND programme to rebuild homes.

Please pray for the families whose homes were destroyed. They had to leave quickly and are staying with relatives in neighbouring villages until their homes are rebuilt.

We will contact you directly if your sponsored child has been impacted.
