Pray for Indonesia in the aftermath of a deadly earthquake

Please continue to pray for the ongoing rescue efforts following Tuesday's earthquake. The death toll is now sitting at an estimated 102. The majority of casualties are from Pidie Jaya, the district closest to the epicentre.
Please pray for the provision of shelter and emergency supplies for vulnerable families who have lost homes and livelihoods.
We now have news from Compassion Indonesia that no Compassion projects have been affected. They do however ask us to join in prayer as their country mourns this disaster.

A 6.5 magnitude earthquake struck Northern Sumatra, Indonesia yesterday at 22.03 UTC. According to local reports, at least 97 people have died and dozens are trapped in the rubble.
The quake struck about 6 miles (10km) north of Reuleut, a town in northern Aceh, at a depth of 11 miles (17km). Local residents are extremely relieved it did not generate a tsunami like the devastating quake which struck the region in 2004.
Please join us in praying for all those who have been affected by the disaster. Pray for the rescue efforts to be effective in saving those who are still trapped. According to reports, the affected communities are further north than the cluster of Compassion projects in Northern Sumatra. We will however post more information as soon as it becomes available.
Father we lift up vulnerable children and families living in and around Reuleut. We pray for provision and protection for those who have lost homes and loved ones. Give rescue workers your wisdom and strength in the hours and days ahead.
