What is Sponsorship Plus?
We know sponsorship works. But before we can support children in poverty through sponsorship, we need to ensure babies survive.
Through our Child Survival Programme, mothers and babies are given all they need to survive, including:
+ access to vital medical care (including a trained medical attendant at the birth)
+ essential parenting skills workshops
+ healthy meals and advice on nutrition
We have seen thousands of women and children overcome the struggles of poverty in a child's first year of life.
Sponsorship Plus provides help for mothers and babies, and additional support for sponsored children, their families and communities, such as:
+ vaccinations and emergency medical treatment
+ water and sanitation needs
+ income generation workshops
+ child protection training
A monthly donation to Sponsorship Plus helps us reach children earlier, and keep them in the sponsorship programme when unexpected situations occur.

CASE STUDIES
As a teenager, Liliane bore two children whom she struggled to support financially.
When she fell pregnant a third time, Liliane was enrolled into the local Compassion Survival Project where she received love, support and education about motherhood. She was also taught about the love of Jesus.
"The project has taught me a lot of things I did not know. I did not know how to burp a child; I did not know how to breastfeed. I did not know anything," she says. Once a month, Liliane attends and participates in workshops on crafts for income generation which will help provide financial security for her and her family. She makes glass decorations and is happy that she now has a job.
"The project came to talk to me and made me aware that my daughter is very important. I am a different person today,"
