Earthquake in Indonesia

According to the US Geological Survey, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake has struck off the coast of western Indonesia. The quake struck at 19.49 local time (12:49 GMT) and the epicentre is reported to be 805km (500 miles) south-west of the city of Padang and 24km deep.

The size and depth of the quake has led the Indonesian and Thai authorities to issue tsunami warnings. 

As reports unfold, please join us in praying for all those affected. Please pray for protection against tsunamis.
