Muskathlon

Muskathlon 2016

A Muskathlon is an ultimate endurance challenge set in extreme locations with a purpose of raising significant funds for causes of righteousness and justice worldwide.

Men and women have the opportunity to run a half, full or ultra-marathon; to bike 100+ kilometres; or to walk 60+ kilometres.

THE MUSKATHLON HEADS TO UGANDA IN MAY 2016!

Come to Uganda in 2016 and join hundreds of runners, cyclists and trekkers who long to see an end to the injustice that children face around the world. In partnership with our friends at the 4th Musketeer, we have created a new and unique trip, combining a strenuous physical challenge with the exciting chance to witness Compassion’s work first-hand.

To inspire you along the way, you’ll meet children at Compassion projects and be invited into the homes of local families. This Muskathlon journey into the heart of East Africa will be an unforgettable one.

We know that extreme poverty can be eradicated, but we can’t do this alone; we need your help. Presently, four hundred million children still live in extreme poverty around the world and we must do something about it.

Join us and be a part of the solution.

2016 TRIP INFORMATION

  • Dates: Friday 20 – Saturday 28 May 2016
  • Cost: £899 (excluding flights). The cost of the trip includes all accommodation, travel arrangements in Uganda, food and drink. The only additional cost will be that of any souvenirs or personal refreshments when at the hotel. Each person has the option to book their travel to Entebbe, Uganda or to ask for assistance.
  • Fundraising target: Knowing the positive impact of a one to one sponsorship, and to add a unique twist to your fundraising efforts, we ask that you aim to find 10 children a sponsor.

Alternatively, you can aim for £10,000 or a mixture of funds and sponsorships.

For every child you find a sponsor for, your fundraising target will be reduced by £1,000. That way, if you find sponsors for 10 children you’ve achieved your goal. We have years of experience in fundraising so we’ll give you advice and tips!
  • Training. The Muskathlon is in May 2016 so you have plenty of time to get fit for the discipline you choose. We advise you take your training seriously due to the distances and the increased altitude in Uganda. Training advice and plans will be available if you require.
