Mudslides cause damage in Peru
Recovery efforts continue in Peru for those affected by landslides last week. Families have received support in the form of clothes, mattresses, bedding, lanterns and stoves in addition to food and water.
Please continue to pray for those affected as well as those who are working to help clear up and restore.

On Monday evening, heavy rains caused a landslide in the Chosica District of Lima, Peru. The landslide carried with it large rocks and knocked down light posts, leaving residents in the dark. First responders made their way through the mud and up the hillside the next day.
Two church partners have been impacted: Sala Evangélica Student Center (PE-148 )and Fe y Esperanza Student Center (PE-234) were also impacted by heavy rains last month.)
Churches have provided packaged food, candles and shoes for the children. Project staff continue to visit children’s homes to assess their needs.
Please pray for all those affected by the crisis, that they will know the nearness of God through the work of his people. Please pray for renewed strength for those working hard to clear up and rebuild.
Compassion UK will contact you directly if your child is affected.
